Hello, I’m Ashish Pokhrel!

I’m a full stack and Laravel developer based in Biratnagar, Nepal, with 2+ years of experience building efficient, scalable web applications with Laravel, PHP, Node.js and modern databases.

I enjoy solving complex problems, writing clean, maintainable code, and choosing the right stack for each project. I also work with React, Tailwind CSS, Python and JavaScript to deliver complete web experiences.

#how-i-work

1. Understand the problem

Before choosing tools, I identify the people using the product, the tasks they need to complete and the information the system must protect. Turning those requirements into clear features and data relationships reduces rework later and keeps the first release focused on genuine business value.

2. Build for clarity

I organise code into focused components, services and application layers so another developer can follow it. During implementation I consider validation, authorization, accessibility, responsive behaviour and failure states. Git-based development and targeted tests help keep each change reviewable as the application grows.

3. Test and deliver

I check the workflows that matter most, from form submissions and permissions to API responses and mobile layouts. Deployment includes production configuration, database migrations, caching and practical monitoring considerations. The goal is a stable release that can be maintained and extended after launch.

My portfolio includes inventory software, a multi-role vehicle rental platform with Khalti and eSewa payment flows, corporate product websites, a multilingual hospital website and booking-focused travel experiences. These projects reflect the kind of work I enjoy most: translating complicated requirements into interfaces and systems that are straightforward to use.

Clear communication is part of the engineering work. I break larger features into understandable milestones, explain technical trade-offs in plain language and keep decisions connected to the project’s goals. For an existing Laravel application, I can first review its structure and current pain points, then improve it incrementally without forcing an unnecessary rewrite.

After launch, a web application still needs dependable maintenance. I can help investigate bugs, refine slow database queries, add features, update dependencies and improve automated test coverage. This ongoing approach keeps the codebase useful as business requirements change while protecting the workflows that already work.
